About Serving God

Serving God started this conversation

Hello,

This is my first time on here and I thought I would give some insight on what I have been reading. I am 36 years old with a four year old who does not live with me and a nine year old who I have full custody over. My nine year old and I live in an apartment that we were evicted on and have to be out by January 15th 2009. I lost my job in april of 08 after being with this company for 8 years and served as a district manager for five years. I have seeked employment but have not been successful. My business has not taken off either. I have no where to go and it is snowing outside heavily. Here is the great news though. I rededicated my life to God in early november and I have served him ever since. God has never forsaken his seed nor has he left them begging for anything. I have resorted to giving everything I have to the lord and I know for a fact that he has a home set up for me and my son. I will tell you all this, I have resorted to reading my Bible every day and night and getting to know my lord and I have learned that the true secret to success is writen in that book of life and if you think about it, there has never been a book writen that talks about the past and refers to our future. Even if they tried they could not come up with anything close to the Bible. Readers, I am not telling you my situtation is not bad, but I dont worry about it because I have peace inside my spirit knowing that I have the lord inside of me and when the lord is with you, who can be against you?  If you have know where to turn and nowhere to go and even if your trying to help a family member or a friend do just this. Accept Jesus into your life and confess to him that you are a sinner and that you want him to forgive you of your sin. Allow Jesus to change you and start to pray for you and your loved ones. Always read the Bible to learn and understand what jesus has written and if you cannot understand it yourself pray for understanding of God's word for if your not a believer of God you will never understand the Bible. Lastly, Believe in your heart that God is true and start in the book of James. Remember that we are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of the Lord but you can only recieve God's blessings and provision for your life when you admit to God in prayer of your sins and allow him to work in your life. This is not an overnight proccess, but trust me, it will change your life forever and as long as you build that relationship with God by reading his word everyday and night, praying everyday and night and applying what he has said to your life, you will see your life change and the people around you. My God bless you all and keep you!

I would like to thank you for that message. God is great to me and I am here for him. When we all come to realize this, we will see less people struggling without hope or sense of direction. I see to many people in my situation that dont have any provision because they have and want nothing to do with God. God makes a way and shows you so that you can continue to stand on his word and then he gives you the step by step instruction that allows you to transition. My mother and myself who are God fearing Christians have both been given the vision of the place God is moving me to and when he is ready he will move me. I will no longer continue to operate in the earth cursed system I have devoted my life to the kingdom of heaven because the kingdom of heaven has never gone bankedrupt. I hope that more people can come to put there trust and faith in there creator who knew them before they were even born.

Reply to Serving Gods Profile----Maybe this will help, you need to get on it quickly though. "Modestneeds is just launching a new "Bridge Grant" for newly unemployed to survive the first 90 days of joblessness, Now accepting applications. For full eligibility details go to http://www.modestneeds.org/help/grants/bridge.asp  I think they give up to $1000 plus depending on your situation and it sounds like you would qualify for the full boat.
